Zoo Poster Project

This project, the Zoo Poster Project, showcases the beauty of flamingos through color, texture, and typography. I chose the flamingo for its vibrant pink color and distinctive features, using different tints of pink to create a cohesive design. To create the feather texture, I inked a feather, stamped it onto paper, scanned it, and digitally layered the texture into the design. For the “flamingo” lettering in the background, I cut the letters from rough cardboard, rolled ink over them, and experimented with different ink densities before scanning my favorite prints into the digital composition. These handmade textures added depth and a tactile quality to the final poster.
